Thanks for coming back to the latest edition of Weekly for Jan 2-Jan9. Wish you all a very Happy New Year 2022!

To kick off this year, we’ll look at what GDP is , My favorite Tech at CES 2022, Thinking pattern on forming opinions

If you have missed my previous weekly readings, do check it out here! For all my other blogs, visit my page. With that said, let’s dive in

Economics ( and a touch of Finance)

Breaking down the current state of post-communist countries, this article touched upon different metrics like GDP per Capita, Gini Index for Inequality , Population and Political state for comparisons

Hidden in the article is the “Rule of 72” ( Interesting rule in estimating your return on Investments over a period of time)

Hint: A nation would need 35 years, almost two generations, of such growth to double its per capita income.

Motivation/Life

Often times, we tend to have an obscure vision of how/when we formed our opinions about things in life. Most conflicts happen due to differences in opinions. Therefore, it is important to take a moment to look at things from others’ perspective or other perspectives. Forming an opinion on something need not be a once in your lifetime thing, it needs to be revisited and evolved with changing times.

Tech

CES 2022 happened between 5th of Jan — 8th of Jan. A wide array of technology was at display

Key highlights to me were:

1. Movi Lens : Lens that have nanotech embedded into it, to project vital stats on to your view.

2. Withings Plans a Full Body Scan:Device to do a full body scan, pending FDA approval
